The Prime Minister and his wife presided over the 100-day memorial ceremony dedicated to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Thepyaewadee, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchar Mahavajrarajadhida.
At 07:30 on 18 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, also Minister of Interior, along with his wife Thanannont Charnvirakul, presided over the 100-day memorial ceremony dedicated to Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Thepyaewadee, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchar Mahavajrarajadhida. Cabinet members and their spouses, heads of agencies under the Prime Minister’s Office, government officials and staff within Government House, as well as representatives from related agencies, participated in the ceremony held at the Santi Maitri Building (Outer Annex), Government House.
Somdet Phra Phutthachan, member of the Supreme Sangha Council, Chief Monk of the Eastern Region, and Abbot of Wat Traimit, served as the monastic leader. The Prime Minister lit incense and candles to pay respect to the Triple Gem and lit the small golden lamp before the portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Thepyaewadee, Princess Rajasarinisiri Patchar Mahavajrarajadhida. Then, the monks gave blessings and chanted Buddhist scriptures.
On this occasion, Monk Sodaporn, the chief monk, delivered the sermon and led a 47-second meditation session dedicated as merit. The monks then expressed appreciation. The Prime Minister and his wife, along with Cabinet members, offered Thai robes and food containers to the monks and presented ten sets of monk’s robes. Afterwards, the Prime Minister poured water for merit, paid respects to the Triple Gem, and bowed before the portrait.
After the ceremony, the Prime Minister and his wife, along with attendees, participated in almsgiving to 47 monks at the front of the Santi Maitri and Thai Khu Fah buildings. The ceremony concluded at approximately 08:20.
