Initially, a budget of 200 billion baht has been allocated to support installation of 5-kilowatt solar panels, with the government subsidizing 50,000 baht per household from the total installation cost of 120,000 baht. The remaining 70,000 baht can be financed through bank loans. Preliminary data shows solar installations can generate an average of 600 units per month, helping reduce electricity costs especially for households using no more than 200 units monthly and those with bills of 3,000-4,000 baht. The project will apply the generated electricity to lower bills, with surplus used to repay loans. Estimated monthly installments are 1,200-1,400 baht depending on usage.
