Bangkok Inspects Civil Service Exam Venues for 121 Positions with Over 6,500 Candidates

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration inspects venues for the first civil service exam of 2026 today, offering 121 positions with over 6,500 applicants, emphasizing exam standards and equal care for all candidates.


At 08:30 on 19 September 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Aranya Pornchaiya, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, inspected the competitive exam for recruitment and appointment as regular Bangkok civil servants, first round of 2026. She was accompanied by Ms. Jongjit Rattanasupasin, Head of the Bangkok Civil Service Commission Office, Mr. Pisan Inchai, Assistant Head of the Office, as well as other executives and related personnel, at Suan Dusit University in Dusit District.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary said after the inspection that the examination was proceeding smoothly with systematic planning and clear operational steps to ensure efficiency and compliance with established criteria. Facilities and accommodations were prepared for candidates with disabilities or special needs as indicated in their applications, enabling appropriate access to the exam. The environment was arranged to support equal participation in line with human resource management principles that emphasize equity and provide opportunities for everyone to contribute to Bangkok’s development.


. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, through the Civil Service Commission Office, opened applications for the first 2026 competitive civil service exam for regular Bangkok civil servants. There are 14 general and academic positions at operational levels, totaling 121 vacancies, with 6,545 applicants registered. The exam includes assessments of position-specific knowledge and ability, as well as suitability tests comprising competency tests for regular Bangkok civil servants and psychological evaluations regarding attitudes toward public service. The written exam is held on 19 September from 09:00 to 15:00 at Suan Dusit University and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in Dusit District.

To accommodate candidates with disabilities or special needs, the Civil Service Commission Office has provided necessary facilities as specified in applicants’ forms—for example, for wheelchair users, left-handed candidates, those weighing over 100 kilograms, pregnant women, and accident victims—to ensure appropriate access to the exam. Exam venues are assigned by position as follows.

Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University serves as the exam venue for the Administrative Officer operational level position.

Suan Dusit University is the exam venue for the following positions: Library Officer operational level, Civil Engineer operational level, Municipal Officer operational level, Fire Prevention and Mitigation Officer operational level, Civil Works Manager operational level, Accountant operational level, Finance and Accounting Academic Officer operational level, Treasury Academic Officer operational level, Education Academic Officer operational level, Environmental Academic Officer operational level, Legal Officer operational level, Librarian operational level, and Architect operational level.


The Civil Service Commission Office will announce the list of successful candidates on its website.https://ksb.bangkok.go.thThe schedule is as follows.

1. By 21 September 2026, the list of candidates who pass the written exam on position-specific knowledge and ability, those eligible for the practical exam, and those eligible for the suitability interview will be announced.

2. On 26–27 September 2026, practical exams will be held for the Municipal Officer operational level and Fire Prevention and Mitigation Officer operational level positions at Prachanivet Sports Center.

3. On 28 September 2026, the suitability interview will be held at Suan Dusit University.

4. By 6 October 2026, the list of successful candidates will be announced.
