Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul accompanied by his wife paid respects to Phra Buddha Chinnarat in Phitsanulok Province and worshipped Luang Pho Samlee at Wat Ratchaburana. They also participated in a palm yantra blessing ceremony featuring the “Na Ma Mon Nang Phaya” mantra. He revealed that he has undergone this ritual several times before.
At 1:00 p.m. on 19 September 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, together with his wife Thananon Charnvirakul, arrived in Phitsanulok Province. They paid homage to Phra Buddha Chinnarat inside the main hall of Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan before proceeding to Wat Ratchaburana, a royal monastery, to worship Phra Kru Sitthitham Wiphat, also known as Luang Pho Samlee, the acting abbot of Wat Ratchaburana.
Afterward, Anutin underwent a ritual of palm anointing and yantra inscription featuring the “Na Ma Mon Nang Phaya” mantra on the back and palm of his hands, followed by a sprinkling of holy water. The Prime Minister told Luang Pho Samlee that he came to have his hands anointed again for auspiciousness, having performed the ritual with Luang Pho Samlee multiple times before, most recently on 4 January 2025.
Reporters noted that before heading to Wat Ratchaburana, the Prime Minister and his wife passed by the venue of the annual Royal Cup Longboat Race in Phitsanulok Province for 2026. Many attendees took the opportunity to take commemorative photos with them. Numerous people expressed happiness at seeing the Prime Minister closely observing the local longboat race event, adding vibrant energy to the occasion.
Later, Anutin posted three photos on his Facebook page, Anutin Charnvirakul, showing him and his wife paying respects to Phra Buddha Chinnarat, worshipping Luang Pho Samlee, and participating in the palm anointing and yantra inscription ceremony, with the caption: “Coming to pay respects to Phra Buddha Chinnarat in Phitsanulok and to worship and receive palm yantra blessings from Luang Pho Samlee at Wat Ratchaburana.”
