On 19 Sep 2026 GMT+7, the Royal Gazette website published the Ministry of Public Health's announcement titled "Cancellation of Foreign Areas Classified as Dangerous Communicable Disease Zones for Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) B.E. 2569," dated 18 Sep 2026, effective from 19 Sep 2026 onward.
The announcement cancels the designation of the Republic of Uganda as a dangerous communicable disease zone for Ebola virus disease (EVD), leaving only the Democratic Republic of the Congo as the sole area classified under this category, in accordance with the Communicable Disease Act B.E. 2558 (2015).
