The ballot boxes opened for the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) election as candidates Decharat and Naruphon arrived early to vote, urging citizens to come out and exercise their voting rights.
At 08:25 on 20 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Decharat Sukkamnerd, candidate number 4 for the Nonthaburi PAO from the People's Party, arrived to vote at polling station 54, villages 2 and 6, Bang Rak Yai Subdistrict, Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province, in front of Phutthachad Village.
Decharat said he was glad the weather allowed voters to come out. He urged citizens to vote while the weather is good, noting uncertainty about the afternoon conditions. He expressed concern that rain later might affect voters' health and encouraged voting during clear weather. He emphasized that all election decisions are made by the people under a democratic system.
He expressed confidence that the people will be the ultimate decision-makers today and urged high voter turnout. His campaign center is at the Aun Aidin shop, where his party has set up an operations command. Regarding election fraud complaints, the command center manages these issues, and some complaints have already been submitted to the Election Commission. He reiterated his call for voters to participate in large numbers.
At 08:20 at Bang Mueang Bang Plap Municipality, village 2, Bang Plap Subdistrict, Nonthaburi Province, the atmosphere during the PAO election featured Naruphon Yenprasert, candidate number 1 from the Phueng Luang group and grandson of former PAO chief Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert, arriving to vote with his family. The family wore red shirts as they proceeded to the polling booth amid a steady flow of voters in the morning.
Naruphon told reporters he invited the people of Nonthaburi Province to come out and vote in today's PAO election (20 Sep 2026 GMT+7) to collectively determine the direction of the province's development.
When asked about his confidence in this election, Naruphon briefly told reporters, "Please wait for the official election results," before getting into his car and departing.
