Chakrit Uchara-rat, Deputy and incoming commander of the 4th Army Region, visited volunteers who survived and were wounded in a bomb attack on a volunteer vehicle in Rom Sai Subdistrict on the evening of 18 September. The incident resulted in 2 deaths and multiple injuries. He spoke directly with those involved in the incident.
A Sukirin volunteer recounted the moment facing the situation: after the explosion, everything happened quickly. The personnel who could still operate stayed calm, gathered in cover, then returned fire against the attackers while helping carry wounded comrades out of danger.
At the same time, the Rom Sai and Gear Task Forces, located near the scene, rushed to assist, enabling rapid aid for the remaining personnel and preventing the attackers from launching further assaults.
After hearing firsthand accounts from those involved, Maj. Gen. Chakrit praised all volunteers for their composure and fighting instincts amid the crisis, as well as their refusal to abandon comrades and their efforts to aid the wounded out of harm's way.
