Unofficial results of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization election show Mr. Naruphon Yenprasert of the Phueng Luang Group leading in first place, followed by Decharat Sukkamnerd from the People's Party. Check the latest vote counts here.
On 20 September 2026, the Election Commission announced the Nonthaburi PAO chief election results at 21:22, with 77.3 percent of votes counted. There are six candidates in total. The unofficial results are as follows.
Candidate number 1, Mr. Naruphon Yenprasert from the Phueng Luang Group, received 149,815 votes, earning first place.
Candidate number 2, General Nipon Sitabut, an independent, received 2,855 votes and placed fourth.
Candidate number 3, Mr. Chutipon Pinmanee, an independent, received 1,556 votes and placed fifth.
Candidate number 4, Mr. Decharat Sukkamnerd from the People's Party (PP), received 106,367 votes and placed second.
Candidate number 5, Second Lieutenant Nonthaphan Papatpornjaroen, an independent, received 950 votes and placed sixth.
Candidate number 6, Mr. Tham Phaktbowon, an independent, received 5,644 votes and placed third.
This election was prompted by a vacancy caused by the death of Police Colonel Thongchai Yenprasert, former Nonthaburi PAO chief, who was shot by Mr. Chalerm Ruewrang, former Nonthaburi MP from the Bhumjaithai Party, inside the Nonthaburi PAO office on 10 August 2026. Mr. Naruphon, the late Colonel Thongchai's nephew, successfully retained the Phueng Luang Group's position in this election.
