Unofficial results of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) election show Mr. Naruphon Yenprasert of the Phueng Luang Group leading in first place, followed by Decharat Sukkamnerd from the People's Party. Check the latest vote count here.
On 20 Sep 2026 GMT+7, the Election Commission announced the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization presidential election results at 22:01, with 92.6% of votes counted. There were six candidates competing. The unofficial results are as follows:
Candidate No. 1, Mr. Naruphon Yenprasert from the Phueng Luang Group, received 178,317 votes and is ranked first.
Candidate No. 2, General Nipon Sitabut, an independent candidate, received 3,425 votes and ranked fourth.
Candidate No. 3, Mr. Chutipon Pinmanee, an independent candidate, received 1,816 votes and ranked fifth.
Candidate No. 4, Mr. Decharat Sukkamnerd from the People's Party, received 127,381 votes and ranked second.
Candidate No. 5, Second Lieutenant Nonthaphan Paphatpornjaroen, an independent candidate, received 1,153 votes and ranked sixth.
Candidate No. 6, Mr. Tham Phaktbaworn, an independent candidate, received 6,796 votes and ranked third.
This election was held to fill a vacancy caused by the death of Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert, a former Nonthaburi PAO president for several terms, who was fatally shot inside the Nonthaburi PAO office on 10 Aug 2026 GMT+7 by Mr. Chalor Riwraeng, a former Nonthaburi MP from the Bhumjaithai Party. Mr. Naruphon is the late Pol. Col. Thongchai's nephew and successfully retained the Phueng Luang Group's stronghold in this election.
