Naruphon Declares Victory in Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization Election, Sends Message to Former Mayor Thongchai: We Have Succeeded

Naruphon, the winner of the Nonthaburi PAO election, thanked the public for continuing to trust the Phueng Luang group and sent a message to former Mayor Thongchai, saying, "Myself, Nong Yui, and our team have succeeded" and will move forward to continue the policies promised to the people.

Naruphon thanked the people of Nonthaburi for placing their trust in the Phueng Luang group.

On 20 Sep 2026 at 20:00 GMT+7, reporters reported progress in counting votes for the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization election after polls closed at 17:00. Unofficial results with approximately 50% counted showed Naruphon Yenprasert leading with 102,000 votes, followed by Decharat Sukkamnerd with 72,300 votes.


Meanwhile, at the Phueng Luang group headquarters in Pak Kret district, Nonthaburi, media gathered to cover the unofficial vote count. The atmosphere was lively with supporters and Naruphon’s family attending to offer encouragement and congratulations on the preliminary results, presenting flowers to Naruphon amid ongoing vote count updates.


Naruphon expressed gratitude to the people of Nonthaburi for their ongoing trust in the Phueng Luang group, stating that without voter support, the group would not have had the chance to know the public's confidence. He also thanked all team members who worked tirelessly from the start to the end, braving sun and rain to achieve their goals successfully.

Message to former Mayor Thongchai: We have succeeded.

Naruphon added that he believed former Mayor Thongchai Yenprasert was watching to see if his descendants would succeed. He sent a message to Thongchai that he, Nong Yui, and their team have succeeded and will continue the policies promised to the people, assuring Thongchai to rest easy.


On local political work, Naruphon said it is an approach that genuinely benefits local residents, as the Phueng Luang team has always been with the people. Provincial council members have brought them to meet people in every district. He believes Phueng Luang has charm and can build trust with the public.

Rejecting claims of being a political stronghold, emphasizing commitment to serving the people of Nonthaburi.

Regarding questions about whether Phueng Luang is a political stronghold, Naruphon said he does not think so but is committed to benefiting the people of Nonthaburi, with everyone sharing good intentions to continue the work laid out by Mayor Thongchai.


Naruphon confirmed that the Phueng Luang team behind their work is fully dedicated to continuing Mayor Thongchai’s initiatives in education, public health, waste management, and other projects, intending to complete and build upon the established plans.

Phansaporn Yenprasert, 37, known as "Yui" and daughter of former Mayor Thongchai, expressed gratitude for the votes of confidence given to the Phueng Luang group and their team. She pledged to work diligently to continue her father's policies as he intended and to care for the well-being of the people.


Phansaporn also thanked all Phueng Luang team members who have worked since day one, canvassing in every district, and thanked the public for their support and trust in the group.


These reported results are unofficial as of 20:00 GMT+7 with about 50% of votes counted. The remaining votes are still being tallied, and official results await certification by the Election Commission.
