The Central Administrative Court conducted a three-hour hearing in the case of Dr. Sorn suing the NBTC Selection Committee, while ordering media to refrain from reporting or interviewing involved parties within the court premises before scheduling the verdict reading on 25 September.
On 21 September at 08:30 GMT+7 at the Central Administrative Court, the judges convened to hear the case of Dr. Sorn Boonbaichayapruk, NBTC Chairman, who sued the NBTC Selection Committee to revoke their decision No. 1/2569 dated 21 July 2026, which ruled that Dr. Sorn was disqualified and barred from holding the NBTC Chairman position from the start. Dr. Sorn personally appeared to give testimony during the hearing, which was followed by some media coverage. However, the court chief ordered the media not to report or interview anyone involved within the court premises during the hearing.
Reporters stated that after the court spent three hours hearing the case, Dr. Sorn immediately left and declined to give any interviews.
At 14:00 GMT+7, the NBTC office reported that the Central Administrative Court scheduled the first hearing for 25 September at 11:00, with the verdict reading set for 15:00 on the same day.
