"Rome" presses "Anutin" to disclose the names and behaviors of advisors, pushing to investigate local exam fraud without fear, and demands accountability from the appointing authority.
On 21 Sep 2023 GMT+7, Rangsit Rome, a party-list MP from the Prachachon Party, posted a news image with comments on Facebook regarding the local exam fraud case. He called on the Prime Minister to reveal the names and behaviors of his advisors as the 30 Sep 2026 GMT+7 deadline set by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to conclude the local exam corruption case approaches. He noted seeing Anutin take a firm stance daily, vowing to proceed fully without fear because the issue is like cheating on his own head. Rome reiterated his commitment to the saying “Reveal the name, hold the behavior” but expressed puzzlement that when it concerns "Thongjuea Chatkitcharoen," former advisor to the Minister of Interior during the corruption incident (under Anutin Charnvirakul), who is currently still part of the Prime Minister’s team and is alleged to be involved with the university organizing the exams, Anutin’s attitude seems unusual. Initially, Anutin said Thongjuea was asked to report on his own conduct and had been investigated by the team, claiming no wrongdoing was found, but also coordinated to request information from the police and the National Anti-Corruption Commission. However, after the police chief returned information, when reporters asked for it, they were told it could not be disclosed yet and to wait until the appropriate time (unspecified).
Rangsit Rome also stated that at this point, there is no need to hide names or behaviors anymore. He urged to immediately disclose all names and behaviors of the advisors under Anutin, to clarify whether they are truly innocent or not, insisting there is no reason to fear anyone.
“Society deserves to know to what extent responsibility should be demanded from Anutin, who appointed this advisor, and also to find out if there are others involved above both Anutin and Thongjuea,” he said. Rangsit Rome said.
