Surasak visited THAI HOUSE in Nagoya, a support center for the Thai athletes, to enhance their readiness for the 2026 Asian Games and encouraged people in Thailand to send their support and cheer for the Thai team together.
On 22 September 2026, Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, accompanied by Ms. Natriya Taweewong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports; Mr. Patsakorn Rangsivatthasak, Secretary to the Minister and spokesperson; Ms. Thapanee Kiatiipayaporn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand; Ms. Prodpran Samanmitr; and Mr. Preecha Lalun, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand, visited THAI HOUSE in Nagoya, Japan. The center was established by the Sports Authority of Thailand under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to support and facilitate Thai athletes, coaches, and officials competing at the 20th Asian Games "Aichi-Nagoya 2026."
THAI HOUSE plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to Thai athletes by applying sports science to enhance their performance and prepare them before competition, as well as aiding their physical recovery after events, enabling them to regain optimal condition quickly and appropriately.
The services cover medical treatment and sports medicine, physical therapy, rehabilitation, muscle relaxation massage, sports nutrition, and sports psychology, along with necessary facilities and support for athletes and team staff.
The Minister of Tourism and Sports stated that THAI HOUSE has been operational since 19 September and has been well received by Thai athletes, with many from various sports, including sepak takraw and badminton, already using the services and receiving full care and rehabilitation from the team.
“I invite all Thai national athletes who have the chance to visit THAI HOUSE, whether to use sports science services, talk with the team, recharge their spirits, or enjoy food and snacks that boost energy during competition. We also have basic medicines and essential items ready. We want this place to feel like a space where Thai athletes are not fighting alone but have the full support and care of the team throughout the competition.”
THAI HOUSE will remain open throughout the 20th Asian Games to fully support and care for the Thai athletes, coaches, and officials. It is open daily from 09:00 to 19:00 between 19 September and 3 October 2026.
