On 22 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Pattana Prompat, Minister of Public Health, spoke at the Government House about the case of the director of Khlong Nueng Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital playing cards in the outpatient department (OPD) and other exposed behaviors. He said he was aware that the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health had already issued a directive, adding that all medical personnel must be careful regarding hygiene in all activities conducted within healthcare facilities.
Regarding disciplinary measures, Mr. Pattana said that fact-finding is ongoing. If the findings confirm serious misconduct, warnings or disciplinary actions ranging from mild to severe will be applied, depending on the facts uncovered.
