Yingluck Shinawatra awaits the Supreme Administrative Court's order on her request for a retrial regarding the 10 billion baht compensation for corruption in the rice pledge scheme, scheduled for 1 p.m. on 23 September.
On 22 September 2026, the Central Administrative Court scheduled the announcement of the Supreme Administrative Court's order in the red case file number Phor Mor 3/2569. Yingluck Shinawatra, former Prime Minister, together with Anusorn Amornchat, her husband, filed a petition requesting the Administrative Court to reconsider the case. In this case, Yingluck and her husband sued the Prime Minister and eight others for jointly ordering the Ministry of Finance to hold Yingluck responsible for compensation as Prime Minister and Chairperson of the National Rice Policy Committee, for allowing corruption in the rice pledge program and neglecting to prevent damage to the government within their authority, amounting to 10,028,861,880.83 baht, which was unlawful. The hearing is scheduled for 23 September at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 4 of the Central Administrative Court building.
Regarding this case, on 13 January 2026, the Central Administrative Court dismissed the retrial request by Yingluck and her husband because it considered that the Ministry of Commerce's confidential urgent letter number Phor Nor 0302.3/781 dated 1 August 2025, concerning information related to the Ministry's order number 453/2559 dated 19 September 2016 to hold Yingluck liable for compensation, cited as new evidence, was merely documentation of discussions between Yingluck and the Ministry of Commerce that took place after the Supreme Administrative Court had already issued its judgment. Therefore, it was not new evidence that could substantially change the facts in the judgment.
