The Social Security Office (SSO) has announced its readiness to hold the Social Security Board election on 27 September, reminding voters to verify early voting locations and reviewing election rules and important precautions.
On 22 September 2026, the Social Security Office's Facebook page stated that preparations are complete for the election of employer and insured person representatives to the Social Security Board, scheduled for Sunday, 27 September 2026, from 08:00 to 16:00. The office noted this election is a key mechanism for stakeholders to participate in shaping policies and the direction of SSO operations. It encouraged all eligible voters to exercise their rights fully and respect the rules for the greater public benefit.
For voting, eligible voters must present identification such as a national ID card, driver's license, disability card, or digital proofs like the ThaID app, DLT app, or electronic disability card to the polling committee. Voters must write candidate numbers using Arabic numerals in the designated box, selecting up to seven numbers. If they choose not to vote for any candidate, they should mark an X in the “No Candidate” box. To avoid invalid ballots, voters must not write any text or marks beyond the Arabic numerals. After voting, ballots should be folded and placed personally into the ballot box.
The Social Security Office emphasized strict compliance with regulation 44, which prohibits bringing campaign documents or any related materials into the polling station. For those worried about remembering candidate numbers, the office advised carefully reviewing the candidate list displayed outside polling stations before voting. If voters need to write candidate numbers inside the booth, they must do so cautiously to avoid breaking the rules under regulation 44 of the Ministry of Labour’s election procedures for employer and insured representatives on the Social Security Board, B.E. 2564 (2021).
