Irrigation Department Wins Outstanding Complaint Management Award for 2026

The Irrigation Department won the Outstanding Complaint Management Award, reinforcing its role as a government agency that listens to, reaches out to, and fairly resolves issues for the public.

On 23 Sep 2026 at the Santi Maitri Building, Government House, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Songsak Thongsri presided over the Outstanding Complaint Management Award ceremony for fiscal year 2026, organized by the Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister. On this occasion, the Irrigation Department was honored with the Basic level award, with Deputy Director-General Mr. Songpol Suaysom, Secretary Mr. Urin Sotroyom, and Complaint Management Director Mr. Aditep Kaenchan representing the department to receive the award with distinction.

This award was established following a Cabinet resolution assigning the Office of the Permanent Secretary to the Prime Minister, as the government's complaint center, to assess and honor government agencies that promote effective complaint management systems and recognize best practices. Organized for the first time, it emphasizes complaint handling systems, inter-agency collaboration, data linkage with the government's complaint center, as well as verifiable follow-up and progress notifications to complainants.

Receiving this award reflects the Irrigation Department's commitment to enhancing mechanisms for listening to the public, especially concerning hardships related to water management and regional responsibilities. Through systematic fact-checking, coordination, and follow-up processes, it enables the public to access government services conveniently and receive precise assistance.

Representatives of the Irrigation Department stated that this award is a source of pride and motivation to drive the organization to work transparently and respond concretely to public hardships. They also pledged to use this success and all public feedback to further develop service systems and water management efficiency, aiming to be an organization that truly "reaches the area, addresses the issues, and connects with the people."
