On 24 Sep 2026 GMT+7 at the Democrat Party headquarters, Mr. Chuan Leekpai, a party-list MP and former Prime Minister, posted a video congratulating Nene Royal, or Miss Praew-Rattikan Amlai, a young Thai from Phuket, Thailand, for winning America’s Got Talent 2026. Mr. Chuan said, “I want to join ordinary Thais in congratulating Nene Royal on this great achievement. Looking at her background, it’s clear that her parents played a crucial role in laying the foundation for her success, so I wish to express my admiration for them.”
Previously, he had sent a letter of congratulations and encouragement, noting that her father is from Trang Province.
Mr. Chuan added that what impressed and earned global admiration is Nene’s manners, including her distinctive wai gesture and politeness, which are unique Thai traits that have touched people worldwide from the start—not only her performance skills but also her personal conduct.
