24 Sep 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Seththa Taweesin, former Prime Minister, As the founder of the Serm Kla Foundation, he continues his social contributions by urgently purchasing products to assist farmers after the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization (DPO) requested help amid a raw milk surplus crisis affecting Thai dairy farmers. The milk was then delivered to Phayathai Infant Home and the Disability Protection and Development Center at Ban Nonthabum in Nonthaburi Province to provide good nutrition for children. Mr. Nikorn Somklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, represented the ministry in receiving the donation.
Mr. Seththa said this effort continues his ongoing social assistance mission. Previously, he organized large milk purchases to supply foundations, orphanages, child development centers, schools, and underserved areas in Bangkok, its vicinity, and Ratchaburi Province—the first pilot area for the Ratchaburi Zero Dropout project in Thailand. He believes this initiative not only alleviates the impact on dairy farmers facing the surplus crisis but also sustainably supports vulnerable groups such as children, youth, and disabled individuals by providing quality nutrition.
Today, during visits to Phayathai Infant Home and the Disability Protection and Development Center at Ban Nonthabum in Nonthaburi, he observed that technology will be crucial in developing people and life skills. He emphasized the need for organizations to support computers to enhance children's learning. At the disability center, many disabled children require an average of three diapers per day per person, and there is still a shortage. Therefore, he asked the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to survey the specific types and sizes needed.
However, by October, the Serm Kla Foundation will provide vocational training for disabled individuals so that in the future, there will be a market ready to employ this workforce in leading private companies. At Sansiri Company, where he is involved, they actively hire disabled employees. The process starts by discussing and identifying their true interests, not just hiring them for appearances. The goal is to enable them to develop skills they can use to sustain their livelihoods long-term.

The Serm Kla Foundation, also known as CHILDREN'S CORNERSTONE FOUNDATION, is a public charity established in 2011 by Mr. Seththa Taweesin, Thailand’s 30th Prime Minister. It aims to promote education and improve the quality of life of underprivileged children and youth. Proper care and attention help them grow strong and healthy, becoming vital forces for driving future social development.
