Anutin Rings NYSE Bell to Connect Thai-US Stock Markets, Opening Doors for Thai Businesses to Access Global Capital

Prime Minister Anutin rang the NYSE bell to link the Thai and US stock markets, opening doors for Thai businesses to raise capital globally and attract investment to create jobs for Thai people.

On 25 September 2026, reporters reported that at 09:30 on 24 September local time in New York City, USA, at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul advanced Thailand's economic status on the global stage by witnessing the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and NYSE. He also participated in the opening bell ceremony to promote Thailand's potential and readiness before global investors, becoming the third Thai Prime Minister to take part in this event.

Ekapop Pienpiset, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the SET-NYSE cooperation enables Thai companies to access global investors and funding sources, supporting fundraising, business expansion, and cross-border investments. It also opens opportunities for foreign investors to recognize the potential of Thai companies and emerging industries, attracting new investment, technology, and ventures into Thailand.

The Prime Minister views this memorandum of understanding as more than just an agreement between two stock exchanges; it reflects the strong and growing economic relationship between Thailand and the United States and brings their capital markets closer together.

The United States is one of Thailand's most important economic partners, and New York is a key global financial center. Closer collaboration between NYSE and SET will create new opportunities for companies and investors in both countries, strengthen market connections, and promote increased cross-border investment. Today's signing is a significant step in transforming this potential into concrete cooperation.

"The Prime Minister wants to turn global investor interest into real economic opportunities, including investment, business expansion, and job creation, to deliver benefits to the Thai people," Ekapop stated.
