Thanakorn visited Samut Prakan, revealing that locals thanked the Prime Minister for extending the "Thai Help Thai Plus" program by another two months, highlighting its real effect in stimulating the economy. He dismissed the opposition's buildup to the no-confidence war, advising to focus on advancing achievements rather than political retaliation instead of responding to political attacks.
On 25 September 2026, Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, party-list MP of the Bhumjaithai Party and former Minister of Industry, said after visiting Wat Samrong Nuea, Phra Pradaeng district, Samut Prakan, that besides attending a merit-making event for the birthday of Thapakorn Kulcharoen, MP for Samut Prakan constituency 6 from Bhumjaithai Party, he had the chance to talk and exchange views with merchants and citizens shopping there. The people conveyed their thanks to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul for extending the "Thai Help Thai Plus" project by two more months and expressed hope for a future additional phase, as the project injects purchasing power into the national economy. Combined with other government economic stimulus measures, it causes multiple rounds of money circulation, leading to continuous GDP growth.
"The people uniformly say that 'Thai Help Thai Plus' truly stimulates the economy, which is positive because it puts money directly into the hands of citizens, causing circulation within the economy when people spend on consumer goods or daily necessities. Importantly, this money flows into small shops, restaurants, and SME operators. Thus, when the government helps people increase purchasing power, shops naturally sell more, effectively boosting the country's economy," Thanakorn said.
Regarding the opposition's attempts to prepare for a no-confidence debate against the government, Thanakorn stated that although such debates are a democratic process, the opposition should perform their role appropriately rather than trying to use this platform to obstruct government administration. Nonetheless, the government will focus on driving economic policies, especially citizens' livelihoods, to demonstrate tangible results rather than engaging in political retaliation in parliament. The government will use parliamentary sessions to constructively clarify facts while accelerating concrete achievements to prove to the public that Bhumjaithai Party delivers on its promises.
Reporters noted that besides Thanakorn, several other MPs joined the visit, including Ritthirong Phumisawat from Maha Sarakham constituency 1, Burhan Samoh from Pattani constituency 3, Anukul Pruksanusak from Songkhla constituency 6, former MP Sastra Sripan from Songkhla constituency 2, as well as Sopha Meesamrit, Mayor of Lat Luang Municipality, and Sangkiet Kulcharoen, Mayor of Pu Chao Saming Phrai Municipality.
