Judges, directors, and magistrates have flocked to apply for membership on the National Anti-Corruption Commission. The Secretariat of the Senate revealed that the current number of applicants is four.
On 25 September 2026, the Secretariat of the Senate announced the opening of applications for qualified individuals to be appointed as a member of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (to fill one vacancy) between 14 and 28 September 2026. Applicants can submit their applications in person during office hours, including public holidays, at the Secretariat of the Senate's Government Information Center, 1st floor, Parliament Building.
As of 25 September 2026, there are four applicants:
1. Mr. Prakong Tekchat, age 65, Supreme Court judge (applying under Section 9, paragraph two, item (1))
2. Captain Supakit Nilphong, age 65, Director of the Civil Litigation Office (applying under Section 9, paragraph two, item (1))
3. Mr. Kiatphum Saengsasithorn, age 63, judge of the Supreme Administrative Court (applying under Section 9, paragraph two, item (1))
4. Mr. Thanarat Thangthong, age 64, Director Judge of the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases (applying under Section 9, paragraph two, item (1))
