The Deputy Prime Minister also instructed the Department of Highways and the Department of Rural Roads to assign staff to monitor low-lying areas, underpasses, and bridge necks, and to prepare equipment to close roads immediately if a crisis occurs. The State Railway of Thailand has increased inspections of tracks and erosion-prone points. The Marine Department is tracking water levels, current strength, and ferry pier safety closely.
