On 25 September 2026, Decharat Sukkamned, director of the Think Forward Center, led a team to establish a central War Room to collect on-the-ground data from MPs, Bangkok councilors, provincial councilors, subdistrict chiefs, provincial administrative organization members, and People's Party teams in risk areas nationwide. This information is analyzed alongside data from the Meteorological Department on rainfall and water levels to assess critical points, coordinate emergency aid, and develop policy proposals for the government.
Decharat expressed concern about flooding in the eastern region, where 24-hour accumulated rainfall reached 150-170 millimeters in Trat, Chanthaburi, and Rayong, and over 200 millimeters in Chonburi, Chachoengsao, and Sa Kaeo. This has caused widespread flooding, especially in Kaeng Hang Maew district in Chanthaburi, Aranyaprathet district in Sa Kaeo, Si Racha district in Chonburi, and Mueang district in Trat. Rainfall is expected to continue heavily on 26-27 September, while reservoirs such as Khlong Phra Sathueng (Sa Kaeo) and Khlong Prakaed (Chanthaburi) are over capacity and must release excess water.
Initially, the People's Party has established a kitchen in Kaeng Hang Maew district, Chanthaburi, to prepare and distribute food to residents who have lacked access since morning. The goal is to provide continuous support for three days and to set up additional kitchens in other affected areas, with a central coordination center in Mueang district, Rayong.
In Bangkok, People's Party MPs and councilors have expedited the delivery of sandbags to protect vulnerable spots and warned of worsening urban flooding tonight. The party is coordinating the establishment of temporary shelters to accommodate those affected, especially households near canals, as follows:

1. Evacuation centers must be ready: prepare sites and sanitation systems in vulnerable provinces to meet standards.
2. Equipment and tools must be ready: standby boats, rescue personnel, and water pumps at risk points in advance.
3. Protect citizens' property: implement measures to secure homes and possessions to reassure people when evacuation is necessary.
4. Emergency plans must be clear: provide specific warnings about affected areas, times, and expected water levels so residents can move belongings promptly.
The People's Party affirms it will closely monitor the situation and expedite coordination of assistance to alleviate the public's hardship to the fullest extent.
