This follows prolonged heavy rainfall causing main canal levels to overflow, flooding homes and roadways at multiple locations.
The People's Party stated that the website was developed as a tool for the public to prepare promptly for emergency situations. It consolidates four key information areas: a social media news hub and live reports gathered from MPs, local councilors, and the party's network under the hashtag #PPLEFLOOD69; a repository of situation assessment links integrating useful data from government and private sources in one place; a canal water level checking system that displays data from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, reformatted for easier public access to assess local flood risk; and coordinates for elevated parking spots and temporary shelters offering refuge for flood victims.
The People's Party expressed concern and solidarity with all flood-affected households, affirming that the party and its network of local representatives are fully prepared to vigilantly monitor, track developments, and coordinate alongside relevant agencies to effectively alleviate public distress.
