Nattapong visited Chanthaburi to monitor the flooding situation at Nong Singa, noting that the Department of Disaster Prevention has raised a red flag and is working swiftly to coordinate assistance for residents.
On 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People’s Party, visited Nong Singa, Na Yai Am District, Chanthaburi Province to follow up on the flood situation. He spoke with local residents, visited the kitchen at Wat Sub Yi Ra temple, and delivered aid to those affected.
Mr. Nattapong said the situation is concerning as the Chanthaburi Department of Disaster Prevention has already raised the highest red alert. However, the provincial governor has yet to declare an official disaster area. Therefore, he believes relevant agencies must urgently coordinate and work together to ensure timely assistance for the people.
According to the latest situation, the eastern region still requires close monitoring as many areas continue to experience ongoing rain, with some places seeing heavy to very heavy rainfall, especially in Chanthaburi and Trat provinces. Meanwhile, the western region must also prepare for potential flooding.
"I am worried about all residents in the affected areas because some locations may face increased impacts due to continuous rain and rising water levels," he said. Mr. Nattapong said.
Regarding the situation in Bangkok and surrounding areas, if conditions continue as forecasted, besides caring for vulnerable groups and speeding up water drainage, plans should be made for clearing areas, vehicle removal, and facilitating compensation payments, especially in places where water levels have started to recede. This will help residents receive aid and return to normal life as quickly as possible.
Mr. Nattapong added that after completing his duties in Chanthaburi and the eastern region, he will return to monitor the situation in Bangkok to help coordinate and fill gaps so that disaster victims receive targeted and appropriate government assistance suited to each area's circumstances.
