Siripong led the Department of Land Transport and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in receiving boats and relief supplies from the apps "Bolt - Grab" to support flood relief efforts.
On 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Siripong Angkasungkleaw, Deputy Minister of Transport, along with Mr. Sorapong Paitoonpong, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport, Gen. Niphat Thonglek, Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok, executives from the Department of Land Transport and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, jointly received equipment and supplies to assist those affected by flooding in Bangkok.
Mr. Sorapong Paitoonpong, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport, revealed that Bolt Support Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Bolt) donated ten 12-foot aluminum "Bolt Boats" with engines, plus life jackets and essential safety gear valued at over 1 million baht. These will be used to transport residents, especially the elderly, disabled, children, and families stranded in flooded areas free of charge. Operations are coordinated with the Bangkok Traffic and Transportation Department and relevant agencies to designate service points based on water levels and urgent needs, initially covering Bueng Kum, Prawet, Khlong Sam Wa, Bang Kapi, and Lat Krabang districts. Residents can request assistance 24 hours at the Bangkok flood prevention center via 1555 or 02-248-5115.
Additionally, Grab Taxi (Thailand) donated 500 survival kits to distribute to flood victims and arranged free shuttle buses to facilitate travel from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city center, serving MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and BTS Wongwian Yai stations.
The Director-General of the Department of Land Transport added that this support represents a collaborative effort by Bolt and Grab, as app-based ride services, to help alleviate the hardships of affected citizens during this period, ensuring they can travel safely and access safe zones or necessary assistance more conveniently.
