Supamas encouraged residents of Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, emphasizing that the Prime Minister has instructed all ministers to visit affected communities in person, enabling them to collaborate with provincial and local authorities to expedite flood drainage solutions.
At 1:00 p.m. on 27 September 2026, Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, accompanied by Nonthaburi Governor Chetta Mosikharat, the Nonthaburi Internal Security Operations Command, the Nonthaburi Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, and related agencies, visited the area to monitor flood conditions and assist affected residents in Nonthaburi Province.
Meeting local residents at the Thai Airways Cooperative Village near Saeng Chan Market in Khlong Kluea Subdistrict, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi, they found significant flooding inside the village. The minister waded through the water to personally inquire about residents’ difficulties to understand issues for future solutions.
Besides inspecting the situation, the team also delivered essential supplies such as drinking water, dry food, and medicines to flood victims as initial relief assistance.
Supamas Isarapakdi stated in an interview that this round of flooding has mainly affected provinces near Bangkok, including Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan. As the supervising minister, and following the Prime Minister’s directive, she visited Nonthaburi with the governor and Pak Kret mayor. Reports indicate floodwaters are receding. The flooding was caused by continuous heavy rains, making drainage insufficient; it was not due to overflow from the Chao Phraya River. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration could not drain the rainwater fast enough, impacting Nonthaburi. Currently, the situation is entering recovery, water levels are dropping, and rains have stopped with clear skies. The Prime Minister expressed concern for all affected provinces and ordered all ministers to visit in person to coordinate with provincial and local authorities for rapid flood drainage and problem-solving. Central government efforts include royal kitchens and kitchens from various agencies. Military and police units are assisting residents, including providing military vehicles for transport services.
Regarding food availability, despite reports from convenience stores like 7-Eleven about shortages, the Nonthaburi governor confirmed that goods remain available without shortages, as private food delivery trucks are still able to supply the area.
After distributing supplies to residents, the minister departed immediately to attend a meeting with the Prime Minister, canceling a planned inspection of a pumping station under the Chaeng Watthana expressway.
