They discussed deploying military GMC trucks to assist citizens in flood-affected areas and transporting consumer goods to locations still experiencing high water levels.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun addressed concerns about consumers stockpiling goods in convenience stores during the floods. She said that since 24 Sep, all agencies, including provincial commerce offices and the Department of Internal Trade, have been instructed to monitor product prices, requiring price tags and ensuring prices remain reasonable without abnormal increases. Any irregular price hikes can be reported via hotline 1569. The Ministry of Commerce has established a command center led by Deputy Permanent Secretary R.T. Chakra Yodmanee to collect reports nationwide. Regarding occasional shortages on shelves in Bangkok due to delivery trucks being unable to access certain areas, coordination with the Ministry of Defense has been arranged to deploy military vehicles for deliveries, as regular trucks cannot reach some routes. Suphajee added that in provinces, especially Sa Kaeo, there is a shortage of fresh food. When asked about concerns that fourth-quarter purchasing power might decline due to flooding and what additional measures the Ministry of Commerce might take to assist citizens, Suphajee explained that the issues extend beyond flooding to include rising fuel prices, which also require attention. She has discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Aekniti Nitithanprapas allocating approximately 300 million baht from the central budget to support affordable consumer goods under the 'Thai Helps Thai' cost-of-living relief project Phase 2. Since April, the Ministry of Commerce has sought alternative essential consumer goods to offer citizens. This effort will continue, prioritizing areas currently impacted by flooding. Affordable goods will be distributed in these affected areas.
