He identified Khlong Chan Housing, Rom Klao, and Lat Krabang as locations with significant water levels requiring urgent food supply allocation. Field kitchens have been distributed to requested areas as widely as possible. Today, mobile toilet trucks from localities nationwide will be deployed. District directors must quickly coordinate any shortages to ensure prompt action.
Asked whether the Ministry of Interior continues to collaborate with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Worasit confirmed ongoing cooperation. However, he noted the area's diversity and widespread locations make comprehensive monitoring difficult. He urged district directors to immediately report any additional needs since coverage cannot always be guaranteed across all districts.
When asked about expectations for when the situation might improve, Worasit stated that overall conditions have started to get better. Bangkok has been actively draining water continuously for the past three to four days. If today's rainfall matches forecasts without additional rain, water levels should significantly recede soon.
Orders issued to establish field kitchens and mobile drinking water production units to provide 24-hour support, alongside preparations for recovery and relief plans once water levels decline.
Ms. Lalida Perdivattana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the government continues to support flood-affected citizens. On 27 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Worasit visited a temporary shelter in Bang Kapi district at the Bangkok College of Handicrafts to monitor the situation and aid efforts, focusing on food, drinking water, and essential supplies for evacuees.
Mr. Worasit coordinated the deployment of field kitchen trucks supported by the Ministry of Defence, enabling preparation of clean, hygienic cooked meals for flood victims. He also arranged delivery of rice, drinking water, and necessary consumer goods to urgently alleviate public hardship.
Ms. Lalida added that continuous rainfall has increased demand for food and drinking water at the shelter. Worasit tasked his team to closely liaise with community leaders to assess needs for raw materials and fresh food, ensuring ongoing supply. This shelter also functions as a cooking and distribution hub for surrounding communities.
Additionally, clean drinking water production vehicles have been stationed daily to meet rising demand as more evacuees arrive. Sanitation readiness inside the shelter is also ensured. Should evacuee numbers grow beyond the capacity of existing toilets and restrooms, mobile toilet trucks will be swiftly deployed to provide adequate food, water, shelter, and hygiene facilities throughout their stay.
Simultaneously, the Ministry of Interior is preparing post-flood recovery plans, discussing initial financial aid and compensation for home and property repairs. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has been assigned to collaborate with local agencies to manage and facilitate assistance applications systematically. Worasit emphasized minimizing paperwork and procedural complexity to enable quick and easy access to aid without adding burden to those affected.
"The public can be assured that the Ministry of Interior and related agencies will work tirelessly to resolve issues and support citizens until conditions return to normal. If any area still lacks essentials, residents can notify officials or community leaders immediately to expedite assistance," he said.
Ms. Lalida further disclosed that after completing duties at the Bang Kapi shelter, Mr. Worasit proceeded to the Khlong Chan Housing area, where he has been monitoring the situation since the previous night until early morning. He is accelerating solutions for urgent food and water needs to ensure timely and comprehensive aid to flood victims.
