At 08:05 on 28 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defense, said at the Government House about deploying military forces to assist flood victims that the issue must be divided into two parts: Bangkok and its vicinity. In Bangkok, every district and area has deployed personnel and equipment, especially field kitchens, to nearly all evacuation centers, particularly places with urgent requests or needs, such as Lat Krabang and Khlong Chan areas.
Meanwhile, in the surrounding provinces including Sa Kaeo, Prachinburi, and Samut Prakan, military personnel and equipment have been sent to assist according to the disaster relief centers of each army region. Those in need can contact the nearest military unit. Currently, all military camps have opened as vehicle parking areas.
Lieutenant General Adul also revealed that today he will travel to Suvarnabhumi Airport after receiving information from Thai Airways and Mr. Surasak Phanjaroenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, regarding passengers’ luggage stuck on the conveyor belts with no one to move them out. He will lead personnel to assist.
When asked to confirm whether the emergency hotline for assistance remains operational, Lieutenant General Adul said the public should primarily listen to the disaster relief center directors, who are stationed alongside district directors in each district and province. He suggested using these channels as the main contact points and emphasized that in any area where military units are nearby and known, people can call them directly anywhere.
