The government is urging transport operators, including public buses and hired vehicles using fuel, who are eligible for the “DLT Support” program to quickly link their PromptPay accounts to receive financial aid by 30 September 2026.
On 28 September 2026, Ms. Ploytale Lakshamee Sangchan, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that following the Cabinet’s approval of measures and budget frameworks to aid fuel-using transport operators affected by the Middle East conflict impacting oil prices and living costs, the Department of Land Transport is accelerating assistance through the “DLT Support” program. This program allows operators of public buses, non-regular freight trucks, and hired vehicles to register for aid via the “DLT Support” system at https://tss.dlt.go.th/ since April 2026.
Ms. Ploytale reported that the project has been successful and well-received, with aid allocated and transferred to over 119,030 eligible vehicles, totaling 473,405,071.90 baht. The breakdown by vehicle type is as follows:
1. Non-regular trucks: 64,703 vehicles, amounting to 363,971,510.10 baht.
2. Public motorcycles: 40,884 vehicles, totaling 33,360,180 baht.
3. Public hired cars (taxis): 240 vehicles, totaling 1,175,500 baht.
4. Public buses: 13,203 vehicles, totaling 74,897,881.80 baht.
However, it was found that some operators and eligible recipients have not received aid because they have not linked their PromptPay accounts. They are urged to promptly link their PromptPay accounts using their personal ID numbers (for individuals) or business registration numbers (for companies) with their banks. They must then confirm the linkage at the location where they registered for aid—at the Department of Land Transport for central registrations or at provincial transport offices for regional registrations—to ensure accurate, convenient, and swift aid transfers. This process must be completed by 30 September 2026.
