Prime Minister Anutin continues his efforts, visiting to encourage flood victims at Khlong Chan Flats in Bang Kapi District for the second day, ordering that meal boxes include plenty of side dishes, and explaining he removed his shoes while wading through floodwaters to prevent them from becoming damp.
At 19:47 on 28 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Chanvirakul arrived at Khlong Chan Flats in Bang Kapi District to offer support and distribute essential relief bags to residents affected by the flooding for the second day. He was accompanied by Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defence; Patthana Prompattana, Minister of Public Health; Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Industry; Pradorn Prisana-nantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office; Ponpee Suwannachavi and Warasit Liangprasith, Deputy Ministers of Interior; Traisulee Traisoranakul, Secretary to the Prime Minister; Police General Samran Nualma, Deputy National Police Chief; and Artsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of Interior, along with officials and related agencies.
The Prime Minister then inspected the royal kitchen set up in front of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), where food was being prepared aiming for 10,000 meal boxes. He emphasized including ample side dishes and checked the quantities of various menu items such as rice with omelette, rice with basil stir-fry, and other dishes. He also instructed that food be distributed to flood victims in surrounding areas.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister and his team put on boots before boarding a flat-bottom boat to distribute supplies to residents in the Khlong Chan Flats area.
During the inspection, reporters asked why the Prime Minister did not wear shoes during yesterday’s field visit. He explained he was concerned about his shoes becoming damp and asked not to read too much into it, adding, "Have you ever smelled your shoes when they are wet?"
, “It’s nothing to worry about,” the Prime Minister said.
