On 29 Sep 2026 GMT+7, the Cabinet approved the appointment of Wichayaphipol as Deputy Secretary of the NESDC, Piyaporn as Director of the Deposit Protection Agency, Witawat as Secretary of the Vocational Education Commission, and Niti advancing to Secretary of the Private Education Commission.
Ms. Lalida Perdivattana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Cabinet had daily appointments on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 GMT+7 as follows.
1. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the Minister of Commerce, the appointment of Ms. Waeowdao Damrongphon, a civil servant holding the position of Director (Specialist in Legal Affairs) of the Legal Division, Department of Intellectual Property, to serve as Legal Advisor (Senior Legal Officer) at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, effective from 22 May 2026 GMT+7, the date she met all qualifications. Deputy Prime Minister Supachai Suthamphan had given his approval. This appointment takes effect from the royal appointment date onward.
2. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the NESDC, the appointment of Mr. Wichayaphipol Tiwatansakul, a civil servant serving as Policy and Planning Advisor (Senior Policy and Planning Analyst) at NESDC, to the position of Deputy Secretary of NESDC under the Prime Minister's Office, replacing the retiring official effective from 1 October 2026 GMT+7. Deputy Prime Minister Aekniti Nititanprapas also endorsed this appointment, effective from the royal appointment date onward.
3. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the Minister of Finance, the appointment of Ms. Piyaporn Phoklin as Director of the Deposit Protection Agency, replacing the previous director who resigned before completing the term. This appointment is effective from 29 September 2026 GMT+7, with Deputy Prime Minister Aekniti Nititanprapas's approval.
4. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the appointment of a new nine-member board for the National Housing Authority, replacing the previous board that resigned before term completion, as follows.
1. Mr. Thanet Kruearat as Chairman of the Board.
2. Ms. Jatuporn Rojanapanich as Board Member (representing the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security).
3. Mr. Sommat Maneehan as Board Member (representing the Ministry of Finance).
4. Ms. Supaporn Kongwutipanya as Board Member.
5. Mr. Kanapot Jomrit as Board Member.
6. Mr. Niti Witayawirot as Board Member.
7. Assistant Professor Supattra Phanwichit as Board Member.
8. Mr. Thitiphan Leerattanachai as Board Member.
9. Mr. Nattawut Smithbenjapol as Board Member.
These appointments take effect from 29 September 2026 GMT+7, with the endorsement of Deputy Prime Minister Yossanan Wongsawat.
5. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the appointment of five expert members to the board of the National Science Museum, replacing members whose three-year terms had expired, as follows.
1. Ms. Onfa Vechachiva.
2. Mr. Theerawut Klunliang.
3. Ms. Sudthai Lertkasem.
4. Mr. Thotsaporn Ladapornpipat.
5. Mr. Adis Prukphatnarak.
These appointments take effect from 29 September 2026 GMT+7, with the approval of Deputy Prime Minister Yossanan Wongsawat.
6. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the Minister of Public Health, the appointment of two additional members to the Government Pharmaceutical Organization board to replace one member who resigned and to add one new member, as follows.
1. Ms. Chutima Sriprach (representing the Ministry of Finance) replacing Mr. Somsak Anantawat (also representing the Ministry of Finance).
2. Mr. Suradet Chawadej (additional member).
These appointments take effect from 29 September 2026 GMT+7. Ms. Chutima Sriprach will serve only for the remainder of the predecessor’s term. Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri approved these appointments.
7. The Cabinet approved, as proposed by the Ministry of Education, the appointment of three senior civil servants to replace officials retiring on 1 October 2026 GMT+7, as follows.
1. Mr. Witawat Panjamawat, previously Deputy Secretary of the Vocational Education Commission, appointed Secretary of the Vocational Education Commission, replacing Mr. Yosapon Wenukoset, who retires on 1 October 2026.
2. Mr. Surapong Uemuthai, previously Inspector General at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Education, replacing Mr. Surasak Insrika, retiring on 1 October 2026.
3. Mr. Niti Nachit, previously Deputy Secretary-General of the Education Council, appointed Secretary-General of the Office of the Private Education Commission, replacing Mr. Monthon Paksuwan, retiring on 1 October 2026.
These appointments take effect from the royal appointment date onward.
