On 29 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Chanvirakul chaired the 9/2569 meeting of the Police Commission at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters. He addressed the flooding situation, emphasizing that all civil servants must listen to public concerns, promptly correct deficiencies, and provide assistance tailored to local needs.
The Prime Minister stated he is undeterred by public criticism and apologized for the hardships caused. He affirmed that he will not ignore such criticism but will urgently seek solutions. The government will do everything possible to remove water from affected areas quickly, including pumping and accelerating drainage, while continuously visiting sites to monitor the situation and understand citizens' actual problems.
Regarding aid for flood victims, the Prime Minister urged those who are ill to seek medical treatment and those in high-risk areas to evacuate for safety. Police and government agencies stand ready to assist comprehensively. Concerning post-flood recovery, the government is preparing to restore public utilities and provide relief, coordinating with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to avoid duplicated efforts, and pledging to use every baht of the budget efficiently.
