On 29 September 2026, following Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s orders for ministers to assist flood-affected citizens, Industry Minister Warawut Silpa-archa visited and encouraged the “Bhumjaithai Kitchen Suphanburi” located behind the PTT gas station in Mueang Suphanburi. MP Sorachat Sujit, representing Suphanburi District 1 for Bhumjaithai, led the team in providing relief and support to local residents and expressed gratitude to the volunteers.
In Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Public Health Minister Pattana Promphat and Permanent Secretary Dr. Somrak Jungsaman visited flood-affected areas to monitor the situation, encourage staff and victims, and distribute survival kits and medicines to vulnerable groups at Wat Thadin Daeng in Phak Hai district and Hua Wiang Health Promoting Hospital in Sena district. Minister Pattana stated that the Ministry cooperates with local agencies and partners to provide comprehensive and continuous healthcare services, emphasizing the crucial role of community health volunteers, whom he thanked and encouraged.
Dr. Somrak reported that in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, four health facilities were affected but remain operational: Ko Koet and Ban Pho health centers are open; Wat Taku health center has set up temporary roadside service points; and Bang Luang Dode health center in Bang Ban district operates at the police checkpoint near Wat Ko Phai intersection. Mobile medical units are deployed, with foot rot being the most common illness, followed by respiratory diseases, skin allergies/rashes, musculoskeletal issues, headaches/dizziness, eye/ear/nose/throat problems, acute diarrhea, and venomous snakebites. Mental health assessments are ongoing, and treatments like foot rot ointments, Whitfield’s ointment, traditional remedies, and mosquito repellents are provided. Advice on preventing flood-related diseases, including foot rot and leptospirosis, is given.
Meanwhile, Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkasukrit chaired the assignment and dispatch of vehicles, machinery, and equipment from the Ministry of Transport’s agencies to support flood relief efforts. He stated that the Ministry has instructed all units to prepare personnel, vehicles, machinery, and equipment for rescue and assistance missions according to the Ministry’s plan, covering Bangkok, Central, and Eastern regions in an integrated manner.
Operations are conducted in close cooperation with provinces, local administrative organizations, rescue units, and related agencies.
Deputy Transport Minister Sanphet Boonyamanee, along with MPs Songpol Suksomboon (Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District 1) and Nop Cheewanan (District 2), visited Hua Laem community in Phu Khao Thong subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Accompanied by local officials, they monitored flood situations, visited residents, and distributed survival kits to alleviate the hardships of affected households. They also listened to concerns and inquired about living conditions. He conveyed the Prime Minister’s care and encouragement to those impacted by the floods and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuously monitor the situation and coordinate with relevant agencies to assist citizens.
Ratchaburi MP Boonlue Prasertsopa (Bhumjaithai, District 5) inspected the drainage gate at Wat Thammavattharam (Bang Puen), Village 6, Nang Takhian subdistrict, Mueang district, Samut Songkhram. He mobilized 3,000-horsepower water pumps and six long-tail boats with 3,000 cc engines to accelerate water drainage from Damnoen Saduak canal in Ratchaburi to the sea. This effort aims to reduce the volume of water threatening to overflow the riverbanks and flood homes in Damnoen Saduak district and downstream areas.
