Government Emphasizes Thai Chuey Thai Plus Program Starts Today Citizens Must Accept Terms by 15 Oct

The government emphasizes that the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus" program starts today (1 Oct). Citizens must accept the terms once and confirm their rights by 15 Oct. Stores can join until 30 Nov. State welfare cardholders do not need to reconfirm acceptance.

On 1 October 2026, Ms. Lalida Pherdvivatana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)" program will begin allowing citizens to exercise their rights starting 1 October 2026. She emphasized the participation process for both citizens and stores: eligible individuals and approved stores must accept the program’s terms and conditions only once to participate. There is no need to reconfirm each time rights are used or payments are made.

: For "eligible citizens," they should update to the latest version of the Paotang application and activate G Wallet. Then, tap the banner for the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)" program and accept the terms and conditions and confirm registration for benefits between 1-15 October 2026. They can start using the benefits from 1 October to 30 November 2026, from 06:00 to 23:00, and must top up G Wallet before spending.

: For "stores" approved to join the program, they should download or update the latest version of the Thung Ngern app, tap the "Thai Chuey Thai Plus (60/40) (Additional)" banner, and accept the program’s terms and agreements. Stores can do this from 1 October to 30 November 2026, between 06:00 and 23:00. Once done, they can accept payments from citizens under the program conditions.

Ms. Lalida also addressed "state welfare cardholders do not need to confirm or accept additional terms." If eligible, they will automatically receive funds credited to their card according to their entitlements and can use the funds based on the type and conditions provided—for example, 300 baht per month for goods from Blue Flag stores.

"Citizens are urged to clearly separate the steps: those using the Paotang app must confirm acceptance between 1-15 October, while approved stores can accept terms via the Thung Ngern app from 1 October to 30 November. Both parties only need to accept once to participate. State welfare cardholders who meet criteria need not take any further action; their funds will be credited automatically."
