Sabida Advances Ministry of Culture Volunteer Kitchen, Collaborates with Government, Private Sector, and Artists to Deliver Over 20,000 Food Boxes

"Sabida" advances the Ministry of Culture’s volunteer kitchen initiative on its fourth consecutive day, joining forces with government, private sector, and artists to deliver over 20,000 food boxes along with drinking water, rice, medicine, and essential supplies to flood victims in Bangkok.

On 1 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Sabida Thaiset, Minister of Culture, monitored and participated in the ongoing "Ministry of Culture Volunteer Kitchen" activity at the entrance hall on the first floor of the Film and Video Review Office building, Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture. The initiative involves preparing freshly cooked meals to distribute to people affected by flooding in Bangkok and nearby provinces.

This effort is a collaboration among the Ministry of Culture—through the Department of Cultural Promotion, Department of Religious Affairs, and the Ministry's Office of the Permanent Secretary—alongside the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, Charoen Pokphand Group, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, Khao Saen Dee Company Limited, Sahafarm Company Limited, the Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Dhipaya Insurance Public Company Limited, Sahapattana Inter Holding Public Company Limited, and Khun Somjainuek Engtrakun, Advisory Chairman of Miss Teen Thailand 2016 Company Limited. Together, they prepared hygienic, freshly cooked meals packed in ready-to-eat boxes, along with drinking water and necessary supplies for distribution to affected communities.

Over the past three days, the volunteer kitchen has delivered halal meals, freshly cooked food, snacks, and beverages to the districts of Saphan Sung, Nong Chok, Min Buri, and Bang Kapi. More than 10,000 food boxes, over 30 sacks of rice, and drinking water have been distributed to alleviate food shortages and reduce expenses for flood-affected residents.

Additionally, artists and actors from the TBLC Association—including Kasama Nissaiphan, Patama Panthong, Tiger Pattarapol, Prai Pannewee, Paik-Jirayu Sriboonek, FIFA-Nitirut Boonta, Pangpond-Saran Amthong, Laenglee-Laengsue Lee, Arm-Chaipat Champasin, Fok-Suthima Kokiatvanich, B-Bel Phatthanarat Katekaew, Non Nam-Kitnarat Nanthanrungruang, Aim-Nattakrit Wongruangvisan, Aoy Supravee Plakarn, and PP-Phumipat Saelim, along with media personnel—have volunteered to support the activity, reflecting the collective spirit of all sectors in caring for flood victims.

Ms. Sabida stated that the Ministry of Culture prioritizes caring for those affected by the floods, especially ensuring access to food, drinking water, and essential items during these difficult times. She pledged to continue coordinating with all sectors to provide ongoing assistance until the situation improves.

On the fourth day of operations, the Ministry of Culture’s volunteer kitchen distributed freshly cooked meals, snacks, beverages, rice, drinking water, medicine, and essential supplies to five flood-affected districts: Saphan Sung, Khan Na Yao, Min Buri, Khlong Sam Wa, and Prawet, aiming to alleviate hardships and boost morale in the communities.

Throughout the four days of activity, the Ministry of Culture’s volunteer kitchen has delivered more than 20,000 food boxes, along with drinking water, rice, medicine, and essential supplies continuously. This effort has been made possible by collaboration among all network partners, including the COMPASS band, media, executives, civil servants, officials, and Ministry of Culture staff, who have all united to provide assistance and encouragement to flood victims with full commitment.
