Nan Denies Teng Claims, Affirms Governments Commitment to Parliament and Explains No-Confidence Debate in October

The spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party declared readiness to face the opposition's no-confidence motion, confident in responding to all matters, countering “Teng's” jab that the Prime Minister does not attend Parliament due to having many duties.

On 1 October 2026, Ms. Boonthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DES) and spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, commented on the opposition's plan to submit a no-confidence debate against the government in October. She said it was not surprising, and the government had no special preparations since it is currently focused on resolving the flood crisis in several provinces. She added that if the opposition raises flood issues during the debate, the government is ready to clarify and confident it can answer all questions.

When asked about opposition leader Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut posting a photo of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul inspecting the Bhumjaithai Party's kitchen and urging him to attend Parliament to listen to flood problems, Ms. Boonthida stated that at the parliamentary session on 30 September, several ministers attended, including herself, Mr. Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, and Mr. Worasit Liangprasert, Deputy Minister of Interior.

The Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson emphasized that everyone has multiple responsibilities, and listening to problems does not have to be done by the Prime Minister alone, as information and issues raised by MPs are continuously relayed directly to the Prime Minister to expedite solutions for the public. She affirmed the government definitely values its work in the House of Representatives.
