Chor Panika and MP Wutthakorn announce legal action against those spreading fake news about flood relief efforts, declaring they will meet in court. They clarify that the food boxes were made by themselves and that they coordinated with the military to access deep flood areas.
On 1 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Panika Wanich, executive committee member of the Progressive Movement, posted on Facebook to clarify false information circulating about their flood relief efforts in Nonthaburi Province. She stated that she and MP Wutthakorn Nutayakul of Nonthaburi District 1 from the People's Party are preparing to take legal action against those distorting the facts and urged them to prove their claims in court.
Panika clarified two main points: 1. Regarding the food boxes, she confirmed that the team personally prepared every box distributed, denying claims they came from other agencies. 2. Regarding collaboration with the military, the supporting personnel were from unit Pto.1 Pan.5, who came to assist after MP Wutthakorn coordinated the request, since many areas had deep water requiring military vehicles for access. She added that over the past several days, the military cooperated fully with no issues in joint work.
Panika concluded by addressing ill-intentioned groups, saying that if they feel uncomfortable seeing the People's Party cooperate with the military to help citizens, they are free to express their feelings but must stop spreading false information to attack politically during a crisis.
