The Deputy Government Spokesperson reported that water levels at several points in Bangkok are beginning to decline. Meanwhile, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is actively working on recovery efforts after the floodwaters have receded.
On 1 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, reported on the flood situation in Bangkok, stating that there are still five main road sections with high standing water to avoid: Krungthep Kreetha Road (Soi 9–25 and 37–55), Luang Paeng Road (in front of Lotus Lat Krabang to Wat Pholmani intersection), Lat Krabang Road (Lat Krabang intersection to Romklao to Royal Golf and Suksaman intersection), Chalong Krung Road (Chao Khun Thahan intersection to Techno Train intersection), and Suwinthawong Road (Hathairat intersection to Rat Uthit). Additionally, Phahonyothin, Prayasuren, Seri Thai, Sai Mai, and Sihaburanukit roads remain flooded, requiring caution when traveling.
In the Khlong Chan housing area of Bang Kapi district, water levels have dropped to about 30–40 centimeters as water is being pumped into the Saen Saeb canal. Meanwhile, Sri Burapha Road has returned to normal conditions. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has begun repairing water supply systems, pumps, cleaning the area, and sending volunteer engineers to inspect the structural integrity of residents' buildings after the floodwaters receded.
In the Romklao housing area of Lat Krabang district, water levels have decreased by approximately 20 centimeters. Relevant agencies have continuously operated water pumps and water pushers along the canal and are prepared to expedite water drainage from the community as soon as the water level in the Prawet Burirom canal falls below the embankment.
