Chaiyachanok led a team with Jeset and Worasit to Romklao Housing, Lat Krabang district, mobilizing immediate water pumping efforts and assisting an urgent case involving a patient on a ventilator.
On 2 Oct 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that on 1 Oct, Mr. Chaiyachanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Mr. Jeset Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Mr. Worasit Liangprasit, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited Romklao Housing, Lat Krabang district, to tackle flooding and mobilize aid to reach residents.
Their urgent mission was to bring water pumps into the area and quickly find suitable locations to operate them for swift drainage. If pumping proceeds as planned, water levels are expected to gradually decrease within 2-3 days, allowing easier movement.
Simultaneously, they mobilized personnel to transport and distribute food, drinking water, and essential items. Despite receiving support from both government and private sectors, manpower was insufficient to deliver supplies to all community points, so officials were coordinated to expedite distribution to residents throughout the area.
At around 20:00, the three ministers were alerted to an emergency involving a patient requiring a ventilator. They promptly coordinated with relevant agencies to bring necessary equipment to assist the patient immediately. Additionally, some officials were injured by debris such as broken tiles in the flooded area, prompting instructions to all parties to exercise caution and prioritize safety during operations.
Regarding flood drainage, water pumps are currently being moved into the area. Officials are urgently identifying suitable installation sites and will activate the pumps as soon as possible to reduce flood levels in the community.
At the same time, recovery plans have been prepared. Once conditions improve and water levels recede, ongoing assistance will focus on debris removal, waste cleanup, and sanitation to enable residents to resume normal lives as quickly as possible.
Later, at 15:00 on 2 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Jeset Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited a community along Khlong Luang Paeng Road in Lat Krabang, Bangkok. This area borders three provinces: Bangkok, Samut Prakan, and Chachoengsao. After receiving requests for aid via his personal Facebook page, he learned some residents were still awaiting assistance and suffering from the flood situation.
Upon learning of the issues, Mr. Jeset ordered his personal team to provide immediate help, personally visited the area, and sourced essential items to deliver directly to the residents.
The aid included rice, dry food, milk, children's snacks, common medicines, and mosquito repellent ointments to alleviate hardships and reduce residents' expenses during the ongoing flood impact.
Mr. Jeset spoke directly with residents to inquire about their well-being and listen to their problems. He emphasized support for families with children, elderly, patients, and vulnerable groups to ensure assistance was comprehensive and matched local needs.
Mr. Jeset stated that upon learning of residents' distress, the key priority was to respond quickly, especially in canal-side communities at provincial borders, which might face challenges accessing aid.
“When our fellow citizens are in distress, we must reach them directly, listen to their concerns firsthand, and provide immediate help so every family can get through this situation together,” he said.
He also reaffirmed that he would continuously monitor the situation and residents' hardships, coordinating with relevant agencies to ensure aid reached people promptly and effectively.
