On 2 Oct 2026 GMT+7, at the Bhumjaithai Kitchen located at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, boxed meals were prepared and distributed free to flood victims and vulnerable groups. The menu included sticky rice, fried chicken, fried pork, and halal food, freshly cooked and served throughout the day.
Regarding the menu, kitchen staff explained that due to rising temperatures in many parts of Bangkok, they needed dishes that would not spoil easily. Thus, hot sticky rice with fried chicken and fried pork was ideal, satisfying recipients and filling their stomachs.
The secret to steaming soft and appetizing sticky rice lies in soaking the glutinous rice for just the right time, then steaming it over a charcoal stove using a bamboo steamer, which adds a fragrant aroma. Afterwards, the rice is rested to allow steam to evaporate, preventing sogginess.
At the Bhumjaithai Kitchen, reporters observed that executives, ministers, MPs, and party members visited to offer support. Additionally, GrabFood was present to continuously collect boxed meals for delivery to flood victims.
