The Royal Gazette published a proclamation containing a royal command to strip the ranks of 10 commissioned officers and to revoke their royal decorations and honors.
On 2 Oct 2026 GMT+7, the Royal Gazette website published a proclamation from the Prime Minister's Office regarding royal permission granted to strip military ranks and recall royal decorations. The royal command orders the removal of 10 commissioned officers from their military ranks under Section 12 of the Military Ranks Act B.E. 2479 (1936), amended by the Military Ranks Act (No. 6) B.E. 2501 (1958), in accordance with the Ministry of Defense regulations concerning individuals unfit to hold military ranks and titles B.E. 2507 (1964), Articles 2 and 4. The command also permits the recall of all royal decorations awarded to these 10 officers, pursuant to Articles 6 and 7 (2) and (4) of the Prime Minister's Office regulations on requests for royal permission to recall decorations B.E. 2548 (2005).

1. Colonel Nipon Srisajja was stripped of his rank effective 3 June 2024 GMT+7 due to a final conviction for imprisonment under the Act on Offenses Relating to the Use of Checks B.E. 2534 (1991), finalized on 3 June 2024 GMT+7. His decorations including the Second Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the White Elephant Order, the Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Fourth Class White Elephant Order, and the Chakramala Medal were revoked.

2. Lieutenant Colonel Matchanan Jant Sophon was stripped of her rank effective 22 June 2024 GMT+7 for desertion during active military service. Her decorations, including the Fourth Class White Elephant Order and the Fourth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, were revoked.
3. Captain Singha or Phutawan Pilwas was stripped of his rank effective 25 September 2024 GMT+7 for desertion during active military service. His decorations, including the Third Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Fourth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, and the Fifth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, were revoked.
4. Captain Praphat Khunlam was stripped of his rank effective 10 June 2025 GMT+7 due to a final life imprisonment sentence for ordering attempted premeditated murder, finalized on 10 June 2025 GMT+7. His decorations including the Fourth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Border Service Medal, and the Chakramala Medal were revoked.
5. Lieutenant Photcharin Wangkhoonphrom was stripped of his rank effective 6 February 2024 GMT+7 following a final conviction for crimes against life, violations of the Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, Fireworks and Imitation Firearms Act B.E. 2490 (1947) and its amendments, and attempted intentional murder (minor offense), finalized in February 2024 GMT+7. His decorations including the Fifth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand and the Border Service Medal were revoked.
6. Lieutenant Taankun Phoolsap was stripped of his rank effective 29 October 2024 GMT+7 due to a final conviction for offenses related to official duties under the Anti-Corruption Act B.E. 2561 (2018), finalized on 29 October 2024 GMT+7. His Fifth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand decoration was revoked.
7. Lieutenant Prasert Duangwiset was stripped of his rank effective 26 March 2025 GMT+7 following a final conviction for offenses related to official duties under the Anti-Corruption Act B.E. 2561 (2018), finalized on 26 March 2025 GMT+7. His decorations including the Fourth and Fifth Class Orders of the Crown of Thailand, the Border Service Medal, and the Chakramala Medal were revoked.
8. Lieutenant Thamwit Mungdee was stripped of his rank effective 23 April 2026 GMT+7 for serious military misconduct. His Fourth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand decoration was revoked.

9. Wing Commander Sano Yuantong was stripped of his rank effective 17 October 2025 GMT+7 for serious military misconduct. His decorations, including the Third Class White Elephant Order, the Third Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Fourth Class White Elephant Order, the Fourth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Fifth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Gold Elephant Medal, and the Chakramala Medal, were revoked.
10. Squadron Leader Piyatat Amthungphong was stripped of his rank effective 30 April 2026 GMT+7 for serious military misconduct. His decorations including the Fourth Class White Elephant Order, the Fourth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, the Fifth Class Order of the Crown of Thailand, and the Gold White Elephant Medal were revoked.
All 10 commissioned officers have been removed from the list of recipients of royal decorations as per related Prime Minister's Office announcements.
