The Royal Gazette published a proclamation appointing 83 commissioned military officers and police officers as Royal Guards and an additional 28 as Special Royal Guards.
On 3 October 2026, the Royal Gazette website published a proclamation dated 2 October 2026 regarding the appointment of commissioned military officers as Royal Guards. It stated that a royal command was issued to appoint commissioned military officers as Royal Guards under the authority of Section 7 of the 2017 Security Service Act, Sections 6, 9, and 10 of the 1937 Royal Guards Act, and Articles 4 and 7 of the 2016 Ministry of Defence regulations on Royal Guard appointments.
Therefore, His Majesty graciously appointed Colonel Randorn Saonnim Director of Training Division, Staff Department, Royal Guards School Command, Royal Guards Command, Security Service Command, as a Royal Guard.
This appointment is effective from 20 September 2026.
The proclamation is dated 30 September 2026, the 11th year of the current reign.
