On 3 October 2026 GMT+7, the Royal Gazette website published a decree dated 2 October 2026 GMT+7 concerning the appointment of general officers to the royal military household. It states that by royal command and under the authority of Section 15 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand 2017, together with Sections 4 and 9 of the Act on Administration of the Royal Household 2017, Sections 10, 13, and 15 of the Royal Decree on Organization and Personnel Administration of the Royal Household 2017, the King has graciously appointed two general officers to the royal military household as follows.
Major General Phongphop Thonguthai, Deputy Commander of the King's Guard Cadet School, Royal Guard Command, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Major General), now serving as Commander of the 21st King's Guard Regiment, Royal Guard Command, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Major General).
Major General Attakorn Dansakul, Director of Academic Doctrine Division, Training Department (Special) of the King's Guard, General Staff Department, Royal Guard Command, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Major General), currently Deputy Commander of the King's Guard Cadet School, Royal Guard Command, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Major General).
These appointments take effect as of 24 September 2026 GMT+7.

Additionally, a decree was published regarding the conferment of ranks to commissioned officers in the royal military household and their appointment to positions. By royal command and under authority of Section 15 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand 2017, together with Sections 4 and 9 of the Act on Administration of the Royal Household 2017, Sections 10, 13, and 15 of the Royal Decree on Organization and Personnel Administration of the Royal Household 2017, and Section 5 of the Military Rank Act 1936, the King has graciously conferred ranks to three commissioned officers in the royal military household as follows.
1. Colonel Sakravee Phuengyen, Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (special colonel rank), now serving as Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Major General), granted the rank of Major General.
2. Group Captain Phusit Thimkerd, Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (special group captain rank), now serving as Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Air Vice Marshal), granted the rank of Air Vice Marshal.
3. Group Captain Warawut Krasartanon, Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (special group captain rank), now serving as Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Air Vice Marshal), granted the rank of Air Vice Marshal.

the King has graciously accepted the transfer of Group Captain Surasak Sesawet, Deputy Director of the Policy and Planning Office, Air Force Operations Department (special group captain rank), to the King's Guard Security Command, and appointed him as Special Operations Officer, Office of the King's Special Operations Officer, King's Guard Security Command (rank: Air Vice Marshal), granting him the rank of Air Vice Marshal.
This appointment takes effect as of 23 September 2026 GMT+7.
