Siripa, Deputy Spokesperson for the Democrat Party, questions whether Bangkok has established a phantom command center after visiting Flora Ville Village in Nong Chok and finding no such center as previously announced. She also revealed that many other villages have yet to receive government assistance from the authorities.
On 5 Oct 2026 at the Democrat Party headquarters, Ms. Siripa Intawichian, Deputy Spokesperson for the Democrat Party, commented on the flooding situation in Bangkok. She referred to Deputy Governor Tawida Kamolwet's statement on 2 Oct that Bangkok had set up four frontline command centers at strategic locations: 1. Don Mueang Airport area, Don Mueang District; 2. Romklao Housing Community, Lat Krabang District; 3. Suan Pranakorn, Lat Krabang District; and 4. Flora Ville Village, Nong Chok District. On 4 Oct, she and the party's Blue House team visited Krewan 3 Royal Park View and Flora Ville Village in Nong Chok, intending to coordinate with Bangkok’s frontline command centers. However, upon arriving at Flora Ville Village, they found no command center as the Deputy Governor had claimed. This raised questions whether the command center is a phantom or hidden inside a house in the village, as no center was actually found. Multiple villagers confirmed no such center exists; only officials distributing food and water pumps placed by the district were present, but the pumps were not operated. This led to speculation whether the pumps were shut down on Sundays or if the command center is merely symbolic. Furthermore, many villages beyond Flora Ville Phase 17 in Nong Chok have not received any help from either Bangkok authorities or the government. Residents uniformly stated that no government assistance has arrived and that they must support each other. Some have purchased small water pumps themselves, but these are insufficient to drain floodwaters effectively. They requested larger pumps for relief.
"I urge the Bangkok Governor to review the performance of the Deputy Governor and their team. In a crisis where citizens suffer, there should be clear coordination and straightforward communication—not just announcements for media show to create the impression of action. Residents in affected areas see no tangible results as claimed, despite private organizations and various sectors doing their utmost to support Bangkok's efforts," said the Deputy Spokesperson of the Democrat Party.
