Deputy Interior Minister Jeset Mobilizes Suphanburi Disaster Relief Teams with Bangkok to Accelerate Big Cleaning in Bueng Kum After Floodwaters Recede

Deputy Interior Minister Jeset mobilized disaster relief forces from Suphanburi alongside Bangkok authorities to conduct a Big Cleaning campaign aimed at rapidly restoring Bueng Kum district after floodwaters receded.

At 1:00 p.m. on 5 Oct 2026, Deputy Interior Minister Jeset Thaiset visited Bueng Kum District Office accompanied by Ms. Chorn Weerasunthorn, Bueng Kum District Director, to monitor the Big Cleaning operation and post-flood recovery efforts, ordering the rapid restoration of the area to normal conditions.

The operation integrated forces from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center Region 2 in Suphanburi, which deployed staff and equipment to support Bueng Kum District Office in cleaning, garbage and waste removal, and restoring public areas to swiftly return cleanliness and safety to residents.

The efforts covered major routes in Bueng Kum district, including Seri Thai Road, Nawamin Road, Prasert Manukit Road, Pho Kaeo Road, Ratchada-Ramindra Road, Pradit Manutham Road, Khlong Lam Chiak Road, and Nuanchan Road, prioritizing areas most affected and heavily used by the public.

Moreover, recovery work included essential public utilities critical to residents’ daily lives, such as water supply systems, waste and sewage management, and infrastructure repairs, to restore public services to full functionality promptly.

Deputy Minister Jeset stated that post-flood recovery is not just about cleaning the area but also urgently addressing public utilities, waste management, sewage, and water supply systems so residents can resume normal life quickly.

“Within the agencies I oversee, I am ready and willing to provide full support with personnel, equipment, and available resources to assist affected areas. Coordination should be immediate. We will integrate all units to ensure swift recovery so that residents do not have to wait,” Jeset said.

He also urged all agencies to coordinate closely, allocate manpower and resources appropriately for each area, to ensure comprehensive recovery of all affected points, restoring cleanliness, safety, and public utility readiness so residents can return to normal life as soon as possible.
