Pheu Thai Collaborates with 5 Ministries and BMA to Provide Free Repairs for Electrical Appliances and Vehicles, Piloted in 7 Provinces

Pheu Thai announced its approach to assist and rehabilitate flood victims by joining forces with 5 ministries and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to launch the Traffy Fondue system, allowing requests for free repairs of electrical appliances and vehicles, piloted in 7 provinces.

On 6 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Chayapha Sinthuprap, MP for Roi Et District 8 and deputy spokesperson for Pheu Thai, together with Ms. Praphaporn Thongpaknam, MP for Sukhothai District 3 and also deputy spokesperson, held a joint press conference regarding the flood situation and Pheu Thai's efforts to assist the public.

Ms. Chayapha stated that due to heavy rains and flooding in many areas, Pheu Thai is deeply concerned about the people. The party has established coordination centers collecting essentials such as survival bags, rice, dry food, and drinking water to distribute to flood victims in Bangkok, the metropolitan area, and provinces including Samut Prakan, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima, Pathum Thani, Lat Krabang, Sai Mai, and Don Mueang. Party MPs and ministers have been continuously visiting affected areas to coordinate with agencies for water pumping and relief efforts. Although water levels have started to recede in some areas, damage to homes, transportation routes, electrical systems, and stagnant polluted water still disrupt daily life. Pheu Thai confirms it will continue supporting people during both the crisis and recovery phases after floodwaters subside.

Ms. Praphaporn added about the post-flood recovery mission that the government has united five ministries and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration under the project 'Repair, Rebuild, Fight Floods,' coordinated by Professor Dr. Yossanan Wongsawat. This initiative allows people to request assistance through the Traffy Fondue system as a one-stop service, which forwards information to responsible agencies according to their main duties as follows.

1. Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), via NECTEC and NSTDA, manages the central Traffy Fondue system to receive reports and monitor status, while mobilizing personnel and expertise from the Rajamangala University of Technology and Rajabhat University networks to assist in area rehabilitation.

2. Ministry of Labor, through the Department of Skill Development, organizes teams of technicians to inspect and repair electrical appliances and vehicles damaged by flooding free of charge, aiming to reduce expenses and help people resume their livelihoods faster.

3. Ministry of Education mobilizes teachers and vocational students skilled in technical trades to visit communities to inspect and repair various equipment.

4. Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) cares for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and bedridden patients by sending volunteer social development workers (Apom) to survey and assist families unable to use smartphones to request help.

5. Ministry of Defense supports personnel, military engineers, and volunteer engineers to collaborate with partner networks in cleaning, rehabilitating areas, and repairing infrastructure.

6. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration manages rapid water drainage, cleaning, area restoration, and coordinates with local technician teams.

The project has piloted service points in seven provinces: Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom, and Kanchanaburi. People can easily request assistance via LINE Official: @traffyfondue by selecting the 'Repair, Rebuild, Fight Floods' menu, specifying damage details, attaching photos, and location coordinates for officials to assess and provide help.

Additionally, Ms. Chayapha mentioned the legislative role, noting that last week the House of Representatives considered an urgent motion on flood relief proposed by MP Worawong Worapanya of Lopburi from Pheu Thai, to gather recommendations for submission to the Cabinet.

Meanwhile, in the House meeting on 7 Oct 2026 GMT+7, three significant bills will be reviewed: 1) the Land Transport Act, 2) the Education Personnel and Teacher Service Act, and 3) the Local Personnel Administration Act. Pheu Thai will carefully examine all bills to ensure maximum benefit for the people.
