Cabinet Approves Multiple Civil Service Appointments, Greenlights Phasakorn as Permanent Secretary of Industry as Expected

The Cabinet approved multiple civil service appointments, giving the green light to Phasakorn Chairat as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Krit Uttamawetin as Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Extension.


On 6 Oct 2026, Ms. Lalida Perviewattana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Cabinet meeting resolved to approve several appointments as follows.


1. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Public Health's proposal to appoint Mr. Prayut Sudathip, a civil servant in the expert public health academic position (promotion and development) in the Insect-Borne Diseases Division, Department of Disease Control, to the senior public health academic position (public health) in the same department. This appointment is effective from 24 April 2026, the date he met all qualifications, and Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Songsak Thongsri has given his endorsement.

This appointment is effective from the date of royal endorsement onward.


2. The Cabinet approved the National Intelligence Agency's proposal to appoint four civil servants under the Prime Minister's Office to senior expert academic positions, effective from the date they fully meet qualifications, with Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew's approval. These include:


National Intelligence Agency

1. Mr. Theerapong Wongsart, Director (Senior Director) of Division 10, National Intelligence Agency, appointed as Advisor for Foreign Intelligence Operations (Senior Intelligence Officer) in the Advisory Division of the National Intelligence Agency.

2. Mr. Dipong Nalinanont, Senior Intelligence Officer in the Advisory Division of the National Intelligence Agency, appointed as Advisor on Security Intelligence and Core Institutions (Senior Intelligence Officer) in the same division.

3. Mr. Chet Phantavee, Director (Senior Director) of Division 4, National Intelligence Agency, appointed as Advisor on Counterterrorism and Transnational Crime (Senior Intelligence Officer) in the Advisory Division.

4. Mr. Hatai Chunhapran, Senior Intelligence Officer in the Advisory Division, appointed as Advisor on Intelligence System Development (Senior Intelligence Officer) in the same division.

These appointments are effective from the date of royal endorsement onward.

Prime Minister's Office, 3 appointments

3. The Cabinet approved the proposal from Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Pradorn Prisananantakul, to appoint three civil servants under the Prime Minister’s Office to senior executive positions to fill vacancies as follows.

1. Mr. Nong Charoennak, Senior Budget Analyst and Advisor at the Budget Bureau, appointed Deputy Director of the Budget Bureau.

2. Ms. Praniorn Tiaotrannon, Senior Budget Analyst and Advisor at the Budget Bureau, appointed Deputy Director of the Budget Bureau.

  3. Ms. Plinee Techamuanwaivit, Senior Budget Analyst and Advisor at the Budget Bureau, appointed Deputy Director of the Budget Bureau.

These appointments take effect from the date of royal endorsement onward, with Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Akniti Nititanprapas’s approval.

Office of National Buddhism

4. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the National Office of Buddhism to transfer Ms. Nantarat Kaewpradai, Assistant Secretary-General of the Cabinet (Junior Executive), a civil servant under the Secretariat of the Cabinet, Prime Minister’s Office, to be appointed Deputy Director of the National Office of Buddhism, effective from the date of royal endorsement onward.


Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives

5. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ proposal to transfer Mr. Pinsak Suraswadi, Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, to be appointed Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, to fill a vacancy. Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yotchanan Wongsawat, overseeing the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, has approved, and both parties authorized the transfer agreement.

These appointments take effect from the date of royal endorsement onward.


Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives

6. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ proposal to appoint three civil servants to senior executive positions to fill vacancies and allow rotation as follows.

1. Ms. Sumitra Watthana left her position as Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Land Development and was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) of the Office of the Permanent Secretary.

2. Mr. Krit Uttamawetin left his position as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) of the Office of the Permanent Secretary and was appointed Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Agricultural Extension.

3. Ms. Anchalee Suwatchitanon left her position as Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Agricultural Extension and was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) of the Office of the Permanent Secretary.

These appointments take effect from the date of royal endorsement onward.


Ministry of Social Development and Human Security

7. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s proposal to appoint six civil servants to senior executive positions as follows.

1. Ms. Ramrung Subranseni, Director-General of the Department of Social Development and Welfare, was appointed Director-General of the Department of Children and Youth.

2. Ms. Chuan Chom Chantawong, Inspector General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary, was appointed Director-General of the Department of Social Development and Welfare.

3. Mr. Kitti Intrakul, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Office of the Permanent Secretary, was appointed Director-General of the Department of Older Persons.

4. Ms. Napaporn Mekhapong-amphai, Inspector General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary, was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary, Office of the Permanent Secretary.

5. Ms. Sonthaya Boonyaphusit, Director-General of the Department of Empowerment and Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities, was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary, Office of the Permanent Secretary.

6. Ms. Sunee Srisangtrakullert, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Office of the Permanent Secretary, was appointed Director-General of the Department of Empowerment and Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities.

These appointments take effect from the date of royal endorsement onward.


Three senior appointments at the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security.

8. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s proposal to promote three civil servants to senior executive positions as follows.

1. Mr. Sarawut Munpho, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Social Development and Welfare, was promoted to Inspector General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary.

2. Ms. Pinya Jamruangsarn, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Empowerment and Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities, was promoted to Inspector General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary.

3. Mr. Nopporn Pasanta, Assistant Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, was promoted to Inspector General of the Ministry, Office of the Permanent Secretary.

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment

9. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s proposal to appoint three civil servants to senior executive positions to fill vacancies and allow rotation as follows.

1. Mr. Nipon Jamnongsirisak, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) of the Ministry, was appointed Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Mineral Resources to fill a vacancy.

2. Mr. Phadon Thawornkritchat, Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Groundwater Resources, was appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary (Senior Executive) of the Ministry.

3. Mr. Nat Kongkasorn, Senior Inspector General of the Ministry, was appointed Director-General (Senior Executive) of the Department of Groundwater Resources.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

10. The Cabinet approved the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ proposal to appoint three civil servants to senior executive positions to fill vacancies as follows.

1. Mr. Chakkrit Krajaiwong, Director-General of the Protocol Department, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Embassy in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.


2. Mr. Tul Traisorasut, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Embassy in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Embassy in Oslo, Kingdom of Norway.

3. Ms. Piyapin Niyomruk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Embassy in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Embassy in Stockholm, Kingdom of Sweden.
