Government Advises Public to Avoid Nakhon Nayok’s Rural Road NY.3001 Due to Flooding, Suggests Using Highway 305 Instead

The government has informed the public to avoid rural road NY.3001 in Nakhon Nayok Province due to high flooding making it impassable, recommending the use of Highway 305 as an alternative route instead.[]

On 6 Oct 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Ploytale Lakshamisangchan, Deputy Spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, stated that given the current flood situation, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, has ordered the Department of Rural Roads (DRR), its regional offices, and rural road districts in flood-affected areas to manage routes and facilitate public travel. If routes are blocked, they must provide detours and coordinate with provincial agencies to assist local residents immediately upon request. In cases of damaged roads or bridges, initial repairs such as installing Bailey bridges should be expedited. If fallen trees block routes, machinery must be deployed promptly to clear them so people can travel quickly. They must also publicize updates to locals until conditions return to normal.[government, flooding, transport, infrastructure, Nakhon Nayok]

“According to reports from the Nakhon Nayok Rural Road District, currently 17 rural road routes in Nakhon Nayok Province are affected. Of these, 16 remain passable, but one route, rural road NY.3001 from Highway 305 junction (km 44+125) to Ban Bang Nam Priao (Nakhon Nayok section) in Ongkharak District, is flooded with high water levels and impassable. We advise the public to avoid this route and use the main Highway 305 as an alternative,” Ms. Ploytale said.[flooding, rural roads, Nakhon Nayok, road closure] Ms. Ploytale added.[]

Currently, rural road networks in 14 provinces—Buriram, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Kamphaeng Phet, Suphanburi, Samut Prakan, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Nayok, and Pathum Thani—are affected by flooding. A total of 73 routes are impacted, with 41 still passable and 32 impassable. The Department of Rural Roads has installed warning signs, water level indicators, and red-and-white boundary posts along affected routes. Once water levels subside, assessments and initial repairs will be expedited. The public can report flood incidents on rural roads via the Department’s 24-hour hotline at 1146, contact local rural road districts nationwide, or follow updates on the Department’s Facebook page under the Ministry of Transport.[flood response, rural roads, multi-province, infrastructure repair, public safety]
